Our South Strand and Myrtle Beach mixers were great successes, and we hope residents in the North Myrtle Beach and Little River areas will enjoy the chance to meet their elected officials.

We've made a quantum leap forward in our efforts to prevent the use and abuse of alcohol. We've taken a strong stance and made some progress. Attitudes have changed. We're all in this together, shaping the way kids grow up and look at the idea of drinking.

We are very excited about our test scores. Hard work on the part of our students, teachers and administrators paid off.

I hope the jury has been educated enough through the trial to realize just because there's no paperwork doesn't mean there was no wrongdoing.

I hope there's a tinge of disgrace about me. Hopefully, there's one good scandal left in me yet.
