Our thought was we could be proactive and not have to wait until after we got smacked. I guess that's not going to happen.

The state needs to improve the support for the existing hurricane centers. Saving lives and saving property. That's our position. They need to expand on that.

This storm was quite a bit larger, so the extent of the damaging wind field would have covered a much larger geographic area.
