Our tour leaders were quick to point out to the students that New Horizons will arrive at Pluto in the year 2015. Our third graders will be seniors in high school when this mission reaches its ultimate goal.

We will hire graduate students of Marshall,

The students are going to be involved in various parts of our gala. They will be creating the hors d'oeuvres, singing and playing music, giving talks on the art and introducing the artists. The graphics arts students are doing the invitations.

It's very exciting and the students will be working in small groups to prepare for the tour, recording and collating information throughout the visit.

Our mission is to give students -- in range and depth -- the kind of experience that will prepare them. It's not about getting jobs but how to come to grips with the making of art and the changes in art that will influence future audiences.

Students in the older classes are becoming leaders as they try to organize students in the younger grades.
