Our young team has worked hard, and it showed in the opening game. This was a great conference win for us.

We played a great game but came up a little short. We battled hard and had chances but didn't prevail in the end.

It goes to show the best team doesn't always win. Stats-wise, we showed we were a better team, but they beat us to the punch.

The team showed great resilience. They had to come back twice really, once after the first half and again to break the tie. I'm proud of how they stayed composed and kept fighting for victory.

There is certainly a bright side to that (UCLA) game. You win 10 in a row. You're a young team. You still have a lot that you can improve on, and you know you haven't fully peaked. Here we are with a chance to really look at the shortcomings that we had in the Pac-10 Tournament and regroup. We have a long window to get fresh again.

Everybody in the conference has a chance to win it. The team that makes the fewest mistakes down the road is going to be the champion of this league.
