Patrick has had some tough draws at state over the past four years. And he did it again this year, but this time worked through it to place for the first time.

That was two back-to-back triples leading off that inning. Patrick hit the ball hard all four at-bats. The two triples he hit were hard-hit balls. I hope he stays hot this weekend. I hope Charlie continues to hit well. He had a tough night tonight with one hit, but I'm not worrying about Charlie.

I think we're going to get out there and run four 'go' routes and just give me draws. You can't cover everybody out there.

It's a matter of some concern.

Gary had a real good second day [of wrestling] and improved on last year's performance. He has accomplished a lot in just two years of wrestling.

Our original goal was to finish in the top five and we weren't far off. Overall, it was a successful year. The state was a lot more competitive. The top teams were more evenly matched and it took a lot more points to stay in the top ten than it did last year.
