People have heard of him in other towns. They stop in all the time to check him out.

He's a vain bird. He's not shy, either. The other day, I practically had to shut his beak in the door or he would have followed me in.

Any time that you're making cold calls or making sales, you're going to call 100 people, and if you get one good result you're happy. It's a numbers thing.

It's great in that people enjoy (the concerts) enough to support the music and have a good time. But it's not been easy finding the funding. If it weren't for a few generous people who stepped up every month, we couldn't have kept it going.

Any time people do business locally, the money turns over a multitude of times throughout the community. With any large, nationwide business, money goes out of state. It doesn't have time to turn over in the community.

At a time when many people question the responsibility and intellectual interest of younger generations, we have great confidence in the future of our community and our country after seeing these talented and very capable young people handle themselves with dignity and enthusiasm.
