People have said nasty things about us because of those scores. Then they find out those kids don't play anymore once the game is in control. They're playing less than half the game.

I don't think there's any question it's put us on the map. A lot of coaches didn't have any idea where we were in the beginning. They know about South Panola and Tupelo and Starkville and Meridian and Moss Point, but it's been nice to hear our school get some recognition.

We're having open tryouts for backup quarterback and punter today (Monday). Those two guys do so many things for us that it's really tough to lose them, even for a few weeks.

Just knowing that makes all of us play a lot harder and realizing that, you know, when subs do come in, nothing's going to be lost.

It was another wake-up call for us. In our building, it's disheartening to see us play like that.

She brings a lot of intensity, and she makes us want to play. This year she switches up (practices) almost every time, and there's always something new to work on, so I'm really excited.
