People like to pigeonhole. People like to label - not just books and movies, but everything in their life. If people want to call me 'literary horror,' I guess that's fine. What I'm trying to do is be both thrilling and thought-provoking.

I grew up on genre. If it had a dragon on the cover, I was interested. But horror, especially, really gripped me in its bony fist.

We want to pigeonhole things and people, but it is absurd to regard me just as a furry wig-and-britches actor.

I don't flinch from darkness, but I've always been bothered by what I call gore-nography.

For me, horror movies are a real escape.

I guess if people label me a bust, they might have something to back that up since I haven't done that much. That's fair to say with all my injuries but injuries are obviously part of sports. I think after this year, a lot of that perception will change. I think once people see me run up and down the flank, they will realize that I know the game, love the game and know how to play it.
