People need to speak out about their feelings to those of us who are in denial,

If your eyes can not cry, then your gut will."
The head and heart may be in denial of your human needs, but the gut will always carry the wisdom of your needs met and unmet, and thusly respond.

There is a tendency for far too many to minimize the suffering of the neediest people because it is placed against a backdrop of black people out of control. Really, the major point is a breakdown and utter failure of federal, state and local governments to address the crisis. It makes no difference if a person is black or white, sympathy should be across the board.

Hate and hate crimes are damaging. They hurt people. I'm compassionate of anyone who has been a victim of a hate crime.

The sudden silence is horrifying, and it seems to catch my mother off guard. A tiny whimper escapes her, the sound amplified in the stillness. Surely, my father hears her now; surely he and I can't go on pretending she isn't crying.

I think inside of us we all have this need to express feelings. Pet people, they use their pets.
