Physicians are interested in providing good patient care. Patients are interested in receiving the best care available. The best way to get there is for us to trust each other.

This confirms what I have always believed. Effective health care is a partnership, in which both patients and physicians have a stake in trusting each other. A key part of that trust is effective communications.

There's certainly a lot more to what the Supreme Court does than abortion rights. If we focus too much on abortion, we're missing questions about, say, executive authority over the war on terror. We're missing important questions about civil rights and equal protection. We're missing issues that could affect Americans, a larger percentage.

I think he's come through in as good shape as the Republicans could have hoped.

Physicians must be free to make clinical determinations, in accordance with medical standards of care, that best safeguard a woman's life and health. Women and their families, along with their doctors, are simply better than politicians at making decisions about their medical care.

We wanted to see if physicians could identify the clues that were provided, so that they could make the proper diagnosis.
