Political correctness forces us to make decisions based on watered down questions in which we receive even more watered down answers. Adding that much water to the recipe of meaningful communication serves to destroy the flavor that is the truth.

I will always step outside what is known to be "Politically Correct" at the risk of hurting other's feelings if it meant the unaltered truth would be made known to them. However, I would lead the conversation with as much tact, politeness, and elequence as would be appropriate for the situation first. I would never sacrifice even a slightly distorted version of the truth for the sake of social acceptance.

What positivity can political correctness offer that genuine politeness and respect cannot?

I'd rather the whole laugh my expense than have one person live their life within the social confines of political correctness.

Political Correctness is a form of cowardice which allows for the evasion of both asking and answering questions pertaining to the most important issues in regards to race, gender, age, religion, national origin, sexual orientation and factual history.
