Pop music doesn't always give a vocal group like ours the opportunity to utilize four-part harmony so this is our chance to pull out the stops vocally. Honestly, its one of the most exciting records we get to make.

Don't expect to hear Western classical music! This is music that is bright and colorful in instrumentation and harmony, full of the richness and drama of the cultures. It has been very hard to select the works we will feature from so many. It has taken us more than a year.

There is music wherever there is harmony, order, or proportion.

There is much more to playing the clavier than playing written music. Do you realize with accompanying there is often nothing written out but the bass line--the left hand? There might be a few notations as to a suggested harmony, but it is up to me to fill in the music, at the proper volume, style, and harmony for the soloist--often instantly. I've heard it said that Bach questioned wether the soloist or the accompanist deserves the greatest glory.

This breakfast allowed students an opportunity to hear from current practitioners about what it's like to be a physician.
