Professors worked together with both undergraduate and graduate students on the tunnel, some with the actual construction process and others in the development of aerodynamic shapes.

It´s important that students don´t keep paying the price for this for years to come, ... If we can help keep them on track in their education, then this will be a one-semester displacement for them.

This programmable machining center will provide local area students with the opportunity to learn modern machining and programming, better preparing them for careers in manufacturing industries.

The students who spent the day here now have a better idea of what it means to be a scientist or an engineer and of what they can accomplish.

We would like to have students and other engineers exercise and operate the spacecraft after the biology has been completed for at least some of that time. Of course, if a critical system were to fail or wear out, like the batteries or communications radio, then that's it … since we do not have a lot of redundancy in the design.

It's a great system for helping students see how we connect genetics and biochemistry and use them to build an understanding of how living things work.
