Putting it in the state constitution doesn't save it.

I hope they can amend the constitution to let Bill Clinton run again... I'm very fond of Bill Clinton personally... the world's going to miss him. He's gifted, bright, charming and charismatic.

The fundamental problem is this is not a consensus constitution, and one part of the country has massively rejected it. This was not a joyful vote. It was a pragmatic vote to continue the process.

If this bill is enacted, I would have no hesitation to recommend a challenge.

If that was true, we wouldn't see any death sentences coming out of Texas — unanimous jury required. We wouldn't see any death sentences coming out of California, out of Virginia, out of Georgia, where unanimous juries are required.

The judges in this state are responsible people. They do a good job. Leave them alone.
