(Quarterback) J.J. (Hesch) just before the play told the line to make a big hole. They made a big hole and it's easy from there. I'm an upfield runner so I just cut it up.

He really wanted to play last year, but he didn't, ... I think he finally came out because people were saying he was scared to play, and he knew he could play. He's been great with no experience. He hasn't dropped too many passes, and he's caught some big ones.

You've got to hand it to Redwood. They never quit. We didn't either, but we didn't play four quarters. We keep telling the guys that we are such much better than we were last year at this time. We are still growing, but this is not a good feeling. I hope we remember this feeling and take it out on our next opponent.

Fortunately this isn't carrying over the way we play or train. I'm not happy with the results but I'm happy with the way we're going at it.

She has done a lot to come in ready to play.

This should have been a game. I know we can play a lot better than this. We stepped up the second half and they showed some backbone and didn't just give up the game.
