Rich is a guy that I wanted on my staff when I went to Martin. We're going to use the same defense we ran at Martin, and he is very knowledgeable of that defense.

We're going to continue to put a lot on them mentally and see how they absorb it and how they react on the field.

Financially, we all have to do it. I don't think there's anyway around it. So be it. It's a necessary evil we all have to face at this level.

We might get out-skilled some nights, but we're not going to lose because of character. Those last few minutes were a circus. I feel very fortunate to win that game.

But at the same time, never having final cut before, I really learned an interesting thing for any studio executive who is reading this: that if a director has final cut, it's actually easier and more interesting to listen to notes.

I think we were the first picture to cut on Final Cut Pro. So we were the guinea pigs, because we got a deal on the system. But with that comes all sorts of technological problems I couldn't begin to describe.
