Right now, I like to take it one day at a time and let Frank work in the cage. I've been impressed, very impressed. I really think he could [hit against pitchers], but I'd rather take it slow.

He'll be ready for Opening Day. I have no doubt about that. He's been going at it pretty hard.

He wasn't using the leg kick all the time and I pointed out that if he wanted to use it during the regular season he better start here. You want to get your timing down in camp.

Anybody in my position would want to stay up here. Right now I'm just working hard every day and trying to stay here. I'm picking up a lot of stuff that way.

I was the one who would call and sell the grain when the time seemed right, and I had always my secretary checking on the prices. Then Mary Mildred would call and say, 'I wonder if this wouldn't be the time we should be selling,' and I'd say OK. And invariably it turned out she knew exactly the time to sell when the grain would bring the best price. I don't know how she did it, but it worked out every time.
