Right now, we are all just trying to adjust.

We want to make sure we do the right thing for Elizabeth, and help her. But at least, that process can start now.

She said 'Hi Grandma, this is Liz, I'm OK. I'm with...' and she couldn't quite understand who she said. But it ended with an 'E' sound on the end.

I'm very thankful. When you walk through the Wal-Marts and you see the missing children, do you really stop and take a look at what the children really look like? To keep a look out for them, I know I was guilty of not doing that ... from now on I always will look and look out for those children because you never know.

We're trying to focus on somebody else's needs instead of just wallowing in our stuff right now.

It can be hard just trying to remember that you can't eat certain things, like when someone brings in a cake for their birthday -- it can be a challenge. But it's important to me. You can eat the real food after prom.
