Roger looked good, especially not pitching in two weeks (because of a strained left hamstring),

I bet he doesn't retire. He looked like Roger.

His (left) elbow is lower than it should be and he's not pitching like he's coming off a slope. At times, his arm was where it was supposed to be ... but his inconsistency with his arm slot is what leads him to throwing pitches that no major-league hitter would swing at.

I'm sure there's a lot of teams the would like to have Roger pitching for them next year.

What then is there left for me to do? Not count the weeks, the days and the hours which will bring me again into her sweet company. . . .

It's just those last three outs. Hitters are going to bear down a little more on those last three outs.
