In many regards, what is most notable about the President's budget is not what is in the plan, but what has been left out.

What the president presents is a false choice between staying the course and cutting and running. Just staying on the same course we're on is not the way to proceed in Iraq. The course has been too violent. There have been too many American casualties.

We have a million people displaced and we have 100 million Americans that are opening up their hearts and homes, ... We have some people who are trying to take advantage of it for their own personal profit. And we should stop them in their tracks.

These price spikes are causing severe hardships for the millions of Americans who depend upon affordable and adequate supplies of gasoline for many of life's necessities,
