Seeing the people own their first home is the best part, and so is helping people who are really deserving. Sometimes there are people who just need a little bit of help to get their first house.

The idea is that the buyers have names and numbers of people who are resources to them. If they have a problem, they know somebody to talk to.

I just like helping people. It makes me feel good to know that I have helped them and that they appreciate it. At first I didn't think I would like it, but once you do it and feel how much people appreciate it, it gets in your blood.

It's nice knowing we're helping people out,

Helping people, feeding and shelter, that's the easy part. The challenging part is what do we do to get them back on their feet again.

We're helping people get supper on the table. As a mom myself, I know how hard it is to juggle schedules. This is work, but it's so gratifying to know I'm helping people.
