Self care is not a waste of time.
Self care makes your use of time
more sustainable.

Our bodies knock

and we pretend like we can't hear

They knock to tell us to rest

to slow down

They knock

We do not open

They walk away

That's when you know - you have lost yourself

Self-care is never a selfish act - it is simply good stewardship of the only gift I have, the gift I was put on earth to offer others. Anytime we can listen to true self and give the care it requires, we do it not only for ourselves, but for the many others whose lives we touch.

Be you, love you. All ways, always.

If I was going to put myself into a situation wherein I had no one to depend on, I needed to step up and be the one to actually take good care of myself.The universe wouldn't simply do it for me.

Take care of yourself because it is an inside job.
