Selma, it is time for us now to put our civil war and civil rights history in the museum,

This is a battle, but it's not the war. We consider this one of the civil-rights issues of the 21st century, and we're going to continue to fight it, in Florida and elsewhere.

What ultimately happens is that they become the parents of what we know of as the civil rights movement and ultimately have so much to do with where the Latino community is today and without them in that crossroads it probably wouldn't have happened.

We are talking about civil rights, and we feel like it's time for us newcomers across the U.S. to play a civic role. Mexicans have been waiting for a long time for immigration, and the debate has just gone on and on and on.

We are going to be having, hopefully it will be the largest civil rights demonstration in the history of Dallas, Texas -- 100,000-plus.

I see this issue as the civil rights issue of our time.
