She calls me almost every single day and asks how practice was. She leaves me long messages before a meet. Oh yes, she will be there on Friday and Saturday.

She has always been my role model in gymnastics, and every time at practice when she was doing some tumbling or something, I was always afraid she was going to get hurt again. Because of what she went through (an ACL injury, to name one), I think it makes me try extra hard. A lot of what I was doing was for her.

We got a little shaky there. But we regained our composure.

I had no idea. It was so hard waiting (before the awards ceremony). It was really suspenseful this year. I had the flu or something today. Still, I knew I had to try my best today no matter how I felt.

I don't even know what happened. I just got in a rhythm.
