She firmly believed in raising her kids through the church. Even through cancer and chemotherapy, she had them there.

She'd throw peaches, apples and bananas into a blender and call it a drink.

There was so much tree gum in her hair from where he dragged her through the woods. She told me she could hear police and search dogs looking for her in another [wooded area nearby]. She said she cried out, but they couldn't hear her.

She hoped that they would someday find a cure for cancer. She never wanted her kids, or anyone, to go through what she had gone through. She was always there for other people. If she was in a store, and someone ran short of money buying groceries, she would pay for it. She was always trying to do something for other people.

It's been a really strong bond. We have a lot of kids who go to Grace Church.

We started the clown ministry soon after the church got started. The kids practice on Wednesdays and whenever else we can get them together.
