She has a very traditional game. She's really coming on fast. Her biggest asset is she's very calm. She never gets overly emotional. That really comes up big in tight matches.

Both of those matches could have gone either way. Three of the seven matches were three-set matches that went against us. That's three 4-3 losses in a row. You lose, but that's OK. We're right there. There's a lot of parity.

She won a match that was important. It's good to have her out. She's working the rust off.

I'm very excited about where we're at. We're 3-2, and both of our losses could have gone the other way. With the new courts, the girls are getting lots of hits. It's always been such a struggle, with 20 girls, to get enough court time. The new courts have been a great help.

This win shows progress. We don't want to get ahead of ourselves, though. A lot of people picked us to finish last in the conference, so it would be nice to prove them wrong.

We haven't really talked about going to the tournament. We just want to keep playing. ... There is a hunger and air of confidence about this team.
