Shell is profiting from the current high oil prices, but we are all paying the price. Oil companies must be forced to face up to their wider responsibilities - on climate change, on the environment and on human rights.

Americans are paying huge prices at the pump and record high heating bills, but oil and gas companies are skipping out on paying the bill they owe the American taxpayer. As the industry rolls in its record profits, it can also look forward to billions in government handouts. They have American taxpayers over a barrel.

Interestingly, the oil companies know very well that in less than 30 years they will not only be charging very high prices, but that they will be uncompetitive with renewables.

We must realize that companies such as Caterpillar are profiting from oppression.

They don?t want to show the real high price. They take the prices off the pumps so that people don't know what the price is before they get into the station.

The current decline in the price of gas is actually consistent with the usual decline of gas prices at this time of year.
