She's getting better. She's able to stand up and even walked a little bit with a physical therapist.

She remembers walking out of the game, and that's the last thing she remembered. But she's able to remember who comes to visit at the hospital.

The doctors in the ER couldn't believe what happened. I don't think she ever saw it coming. Nobody had ever heard of someone getting run over by a deer.

A physical therapist does some unbelievable stretching with me.

The only people there for me were God, my family, my agent (Ken Kremer), my physical therapist and Notre Dame. Having Notre Dame was big because when I was on my couch, unable to walk, I had a few job offers on the table. That was because of Notre Dame alumni.

We got a little bit of our swagger back. We're just competing more, a little more physical. You know it's got to be that way. Like Mike always says, you can't be small or slow or small and soft or small and dumb. So we've got to be tough and smart and quick.
