She's got to be a little nervous. The disadvantage she'll have is that the other women have been playing on a regular basis and she hasn't had a tournament in a while. She's practiced a lot, but that's never the same as a competitive tournament.

There's a lot more emphasis placed on torsion and coil and leverage. Basically, the women are being taught very much along the same lines as the men. You don't have to consider strength as a factor so much. These girls are working out like fiends. It's a trend that's going to continue.

The focus now is on scoring. It's tough to emulate a tournament when she's at home, tough to get into any kind of competitive situation.

If you don't have a club-head speed of about 100 mph, it's a waste of time to try to hit long irons.
