Shortly before the clock strikes 12, everyone is invited onto the rink. We hand out noisemakers and at midnight, everyone yells, makes a lot of noise and we drop balloons onto the crowd. It's a lot of fun for everyone.

We also have a free PlayStation sitting in front of a comfortable couch and other pay video games throughout the rink.

We have skating all night long, with great music. Mixed in with the skating, we have games, such as red light-green light, four corners and the cha-cha slide. We also do other activities like kickball, shoot-the-puck and relay races.

Pain is something that's common to human life. When we ignore it, we aren't engaging in the whole reality, and the pain begins to fester.

At 20 and 30, we are like travelers in a foreign country, reading the guide book to learn how to behave, to learn when the post office is open. Trivia looms important; critical issues fade into a pastel background, unrecognized.

The best relationship is one that does not foster too much independence nor too much dependence, but exists in the healthy interdependence zone.
