Since Sept. 11, 2001, we have seen a real movement across the country at the state and federal levels to close the doors of government.

It's pretty clear they're struggling. They're struggling.

I am surprised they didn't make some inquiry into the status of the investigation into the Department of Correction.

People are going under the radar. [Cities] think they are getting a whole public safety boost, but they're not. Nobody can keep track of every single sex offender in every neighborhood. They go underground and have to re-register if they move. They become phantoms in the registry.

We think both competitors are to be taken seriously, but do not believe the case of secular impairment of the newspaper companies is as draconian as current sentiment would suggest.

The best way to describe it is, you want to make sure that the jurors are not emotionally involved in it, that they don't have any preconceptions.
