Some people think the benefit of screening is huge, and others say that the reduction in death rates is due primarily to adjuvant therapy. No one has known for sure, and although we still don't know for sure, this is the best set of analyses that is possible given the available information.

All seven groups concluded that the decline in the rate of death from breast cancer is a combination of screening and therapy, and not restricted to one or the other.

The absolute negative, the ultimate saying of no to the world, when it is just too late. And always the subtle conviction that if you had said No a moment earlier, it would none of it have happened. But the saying of no comes too late by a little. You are always a little too late in saying it.

The death of my friend has made a lasting mark on my life. It was the first funeral I ever attended and that experience sparked a need to do something to help save other lives. I hope to be able to use my title as Miss America to make a lasting mark for the better.

I'd do it again if I had to. We made it here all safely. That's the main thing. (Claudia and Joe) have been a blessing. I just wished they had lived a little bit closer.

There does seem to be a statistical advantage, but the practical advantage is still an open question.
