Some years you get bad luck. Some years you make some mistakes. Some years kids show up and they're not as good as we think they're gonna be.

Hopefully we've got some of that behind us, where we don't make dumb mistakes, and we do things that we've gotta do in the clutch to win close games. We'll be OK. And if we don't, we don't.

I'm disappointed for the kids.

I want you kids to know how much we appreciate you. Have fun and behave.

It's hard for me to explain. I don't have an ego. I'm going to work to give these kids a chance to win. If we win, it's theirs. You guys are making this too complicated, believe me.

We are in the business of trying to help kids grow up, ... E.Z. has never been a bad kid. He has never done anything malicious to hurt somebody or anything like that. You kept hoping that he would get himself straightened out with the couple little problems he had and I was glad that everything worked out and he could get back in it and do it because he is going to be a fine person.
