Sometimes, the people we keep holding on to are people we are actually better off without.

Our problem is that we usually love people who don't love us enough, hurt people who love us a lot, and refuse to let go of people who can never care about us the way we do.

It always hurts to realize the other person has got over you and moved on with their life while you are still where they left you, crying over them, and waiting for them to come back.

You could look at someone from a distance, love them in your imagination, and see in them everything you have ever wanted. You wish they knew you exist, but you feel too afraid to take that step and let them know. So, you don't have them, you don't spend time with them, but, in your dreams, you never want to let them go.

Do you know what is the most frustrating thing in this world? It is not having someone to return to when you are tired, sad or lonely. Someone you could really trust, someone you could really talk to about anything and feel completely safe and understood, someone who really cares about you, fears for you and can’t rest without seeing you happy.

The pain of having lost something is never equal to the pain of having lost someone.
