Students are also wearing less clothing. They're more self-conscious about the way their body looks.

The one thing we always see our students walk away with is confidence and a sense of self. We want our students to not be afraid to be themselves, but at the same time, to respect others and respect life.

People today always want to see instant gratification. It's difficult to do that with weight loss, so I tell them to think of the rush they get after a good workout.

They become much more motivated to watch what they eat in the spring.

Everything here is natural. We don't have any plastic toys or fake dolls. Our students knit their own dolls, and we're growing grass in our Easter baskets, instead of buying the plastic grass.

The students voted me student body president simply because they knew who I was, and part of that responsibility was making a speech in front of the entire school, ... I had a couple of teachers help me with it, and it ended up pushing me to do something I probably wouldn't have otherwise done. Once that happened, it didn't bother me to speak in public.
