Superior (Boiler Works) said so far they hired 10 people from Consolidated. Eaton hired three or four, and a few went to Collins Industries.

So far we've enrolled about 15 people into the Workforce Investment Act program that does provide training. Some case managers are still working to enroll others in a program.

We did get calls from companies in other states that did similar things (as Consolidated) and wanted to recruit, but we declined to let them participate in the job fair because we wanted to keep it local.

It's a way for us to recognize them and show others what kind of people they were. And it helps us feel a little better about the situation.

They're both such dynamic speakers and dynamic people that they absolutely capture your attention. For however long you're in there, they don't lose your attention, and there's something pretty incredible about that.

I guess my biggest hope is to end public displays of infection. People who cough and sneeze on other people and people who don't wash their hands. These things are so easy and could easily save a life.
