Talking about a war on the other side of the world can get kind of abstract for some students.

During the discussion, we were talking about World War II. It triggered memories about the war and what the residents were doing at that time. That's when Enid mentioned that she made ditty bags for soldiers. We all thought it was a great idea to start making the bags again.

I was not expecting to find a newspaper that old. I thought maybe World War I . . . or an Amelia Earhart (article), but not something that old.

They are going by train; many students were excited about doing that.
