That area is way overused on weekends.

We are processing the overnight permit applications right now, and I haven't counted how many applications but it looks like we've got a thousand.

Now we are hoping to implement a decision we made a long time ago on the areas we didn't include, because it is very crowded and busy. We have people who end up camping on meadows and other areas where it is not permitted. The expansion would reduce the physical wear and tear on the environment.

Back in 1993 we made a decision to expand the permit area ... but we didn't include Mount Stuart, Ingalls Lake and Headlight Creek Basin [in Chelan County].

I know it sounds overused, but truthfully, each department is interdependent upon the other. You couldn't have done it without physicians, hospital board and staff members, city council — all different stakeholder groups consistently working together.

We need diapers badly. We're the only organization in this area that provides diapers.
