We have lots of things to help people avoid, to distract them from their pain. That's the enemy - the worst thing in the world is to have people get into behaviors that are destructive to themselves or others. ... because they feel they can't handle sadness or anger. If people were more adept at experiencing their emotions, they might do less acting out because of them.

Not only did he reach out to help a rookie who didn't know many people around here, but he helped out a guy who's not even on this team anymore, ... Obviously, it's because he's a great guy.
