That it happened on our street is disturbing.

They walk frequently in the neighborhood. Most people know of them from seeing them walk around. They have young children in there; we are just sad, sad for the family.

There's no real reason to feel afraid. I just feel sadness for the children.

The only thing I really wanted to be was a beatnik, and look what happened: I ended up being in a band.

What happened on that island was so moving, so disturbing and so inspiring, I felt I had to remove myself.
