That was one of the kids that had beat him early in the year by a point. Early in the year all but one of his losses were really close.

Haughey is a good athlete for a heavyweight and moves better than most of these kids do. Hopefully that can carry over. I think he has a real good shot at getting a decent spot at state.

The one that really hurt was Sergio. He's been one of our consistent performers. Nobody outworks him.

The thing that myself and the other coaches liked the best tonight was how the kids played with a lot of emotion. It was great to see.

We estimate that we can make as many as 17 to 18 million unique Cabbage Patch Kids before we run out of options,

What does this mean to me? It means I have to coach another week. But if any group of kids ever deserved to advance to the national tournament, it's these kids. They've worked so hard and become a team in every sense of the word. This was a total team effort.
