That was probably the best race we've had all year for 4-by-4. It was four seconds off our school record.

We were disqualified in two relays in which we would have finished second and fourth. Other than that, we're looking great.

It was fantastic to see how they did without having those guys around. Our kids are looking good.

I still think we are going to win the Mountain West Conference tournament. I think it's anyone's race up there. And on a neutral floor, I think we can beat anyone.

It was a very rewarding race and gratifying. I could get up to third or fourth but couldn't make those passes to get the rest of the way. Once we did get up front, the car was flying. To be able to drive from 15th all the way to third or fourth, I knew we had a good one. Once we got out front, we were awesome. I knew we were in great shape.

Under the statute, race has to be a factor. It doesn't have to be the main factor and there were several other reasons why this happened.
