That was the best possible prep I could have done for this race. It was just good for my confidence.

It's pretty exciting for me, because I don't skate this race very often.

It's going to be a full slate at the Olympics. The 1,000 hasn't been my priority this year but it's an event I've used a lot to help me in the longer distances. I've had good 1,000 races all year and I love the event because it's nice and short. You can just hammer the whole thing.

It's really exciting. Not just to win the silver medal, but also the fact that I skated my best possible race. That's almost more exciting.

It's a little nerve-racking watching the last couple of races go. All I could do was sit there and watch.

She's an amazing and tough competitor. It's always fun to watch her skate and to compete against her is just great.
