That was the plan coming into the season, to get off to a good start and once we get into the division, to play every game hard.

I'm really excited and optimistic about the start of the year. We have some good guys coming back. Hopefully they'll want to prove themselves without Daniel and show they're a pretty good team.

Being on the DL and knowing that you are not coming back the rest of the season is not fun at all, ... It was a really tough pill to swallow. Not being able to go on the road trips [stinks]. It's rough.

I though that this was a very good start to the season and that everything went about how we expected them to unfold. Any time you can finish a race with the top-three finishers, you are almost guaranteed to win the race. This is just the beginning and we know we need to continue to build off of this momentum.

Everything feels good. I could start [the season] tomorrow.

I would like to have a good season this year. But more than that, I want to compete in the state tournament.
