That's a challenge for our rehab specialists because our patients are more fragile and they work at a slower pace.

It's been our goal for several years to treat the whole patient, to work as a team, as opposed to individuals, to find out what the patient did at home and to incorporate that activity into therapy.

The unique thing about rehab is that we measure everything about patient function. We are literally compared with units all over the country. When you look at patients with a similar diagnosis, same age and similar ailments, our outcomes are very high.

Every aspect of their life, including their social interaction, is threatened. Their whole life changes: their memory, problem solving skills, speech, swallowing, not to mention all the physical things, like paralysis, that affect them.

I totally wanted to fix up my health and to challenge myself. I've never attempted to keep fit or do any sports at all.

Face it - potatoes are boring. But everybody loves them. The challenge is to update potatoes in ways that people will still enjoy eating.
