That's always been my policy. Freshmen play freshman basketball. Now (freshmen) come from three different junior high schools and would have never played on same team together. It's important for them to learn to win.

Ohio State has a strong agricultural program and the other schools didn't have what I wanted. I'll miss (basketball) but education is the most important thing at this point.

I didn't want to play junior college football. I just wanted to go home and focus on basketball. I knew that basketball would be my route to college.

At the time, we thought individual meetings [with individual schools] would be more helpful, because we could have more in-depth discussions.

High school basketball in the smaller schools, you know you?re going to have your down years. I can deal with losing. It?s the heart and the intensity that I have a problem with. But you try to build the younger kids and get better. That?s the hope.

Once I grew from 6'1' to about 6'6', by that time I was going into 12th grade, and that's when I started wanting to play basketball, because, pretty much basketball players always got the girl.
