That's something that really helped me get back into shape and speed up the rehab process. Just the motion and all that work you do in the water paddling, the constant paddling. It's a good burn for your upper body.

He can continue to rehab. He just can't do things full speed. So he's going through drills, I'd say, about three-quarters. But three-quarters at that position -- where you plant and cut and explode -- just isn't good enough to play.

Again, we are still adjusting to the speed of the game. Sometimes we look like we're in slow motion. Defensively, we still aren't pleased with where we are, but we're getting there. It's just going to take time with these young kids.

Every team in this league has had situations where either their rehab guys helped them win or they've had to deal with some bad outings or bad at-bats. That's just the way it goes. That's just another excuse. For me, the only excuse why we (were not) winning was because we weren't playing well.
