That's the Claiborne way. That's the way it was with Mr. Prospector and Nijinsky, and that probably had a big influence on the longevity of their stallions careers. Northern Dancer wasn't a very fertile stallion, but all three of those, all of them his sons who stood here, had very long careers.

I would say Mr. Prospector for instance, who was not as fashionable on the track, if he stood today probably would not have bred enough mares early on in his career to establish himself. His genetic potential would have been lost forever if there were stallions breeding 200 mares because no one would have bred to him.

Everybody is very excited about it. It's a very good foal and [Strom Flag Flying] is an excellent mother.

He was so much like his dad. Not just physically, but temperament, too. He was never a mean horse, but you wouldn't turn your back on him, because he was always ready to go. If you were letting him out in the paddock, he was ready to go; if you were taking him to the breeding shed, he was ready to go; if you were taking him to his stall, he was ready to go. I loved him. I'll be honest with you, I loved Danzig.

It's really sad. She was a nice, nice mare.
