That's the plan. We'll see how he feels the next two days.

He had a good throw. We're leaning toward it, (but) we're going to wait and see how he feels tomorrow during the off day. If he comes in feeling great, he starts. If not, we go the other way.

The whole point about resting guys, it's all academic at this point, because we've got days off. We don't have to rest anybody.

I think there's a growing number of pitchers who want to have a plan going into a game about how they're going to go after that lineup. I'd say 75 percent want to have an idea, and they plan their attack. I know that 75 percent of hitters do not have that same type of plan against a pitcher.

I had started law school at Florida State University as a part-timer. I would go two quarters, and they allowed me to drop out to play baseball, and then I'd get readmitted in September. I was convinced I was going to be a lawyer and was using my baseball salary to pay my way through school.

I've paid him a lot of compliments. He earned a lot of respect, with a lot of tough situations. There were injuries, they were forced to sell or trade guys like [Aramis] Ramirez. I thought he did a good job of keeping the club competitive every time we saw them.
