The American dream, to me, means having the opportunity to achieve . . . because I don't think you should be guaranteed anything other than opportunity.

A college degree is the cornerstone of the American dream, opening the door to job opportunity and professional fulfillment, while increasing earning power by more than one million dollars over a lifetime. The world economy is extremely competitive and it is important to America's economic prosperity and national security that every student in America has access to a college education.

This city's going to really hum, hopefully sooner than later, ... This is the American dream.
